Corrections Policy

Our Commitment to Accuracy

SETA aims to provide accurate and useful information to its readers.

However, errors can occasionally occur, particularly when information changes after an article has been published.

When a factual error is identified, we investigate the issue and make an appropriate correction.

How to Report an Error

Readers can report a potential error by contacting us.

Please include:

  1. The article title
  2. The article URL
  3. The information that appears to be incorrect
  4. The correct information
  5. Supporting evidence or an authoritative source, where available

How We Handle Corrections

Our editorial team reviews correction requests before making changes.

When information is confirmed to be incorrect, we may:

  • Correct the relevant information
  • Update the article
  • Add an update note
  • Correct the headline if necessary
  • Update application dates or requirements
  • Remove information that cannot be adequately verified

For significant corrections, we may include an editor’s note explaining that the article was updated.

Updating Time-Sensitive Information

Learnerships, bursaries, internships, jobs and other opportunities may change quickly.

Closing dates may be extended, applications may close early, or requirements may change.

When we become aware of significant changes, we may update the relevant article.

Readers should always confirm current information with the organisation responsible for an opportunity.

Minor Changes

Spelling, grammar, formatting and other minor editorial changes may be made without a correction notice when they do not materially change the meaning of an article.
